‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Preview: Who Does Negan Kill? Is It ?

SPOILER ALERT: Contains details of tonight’s Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe — you’ve been warned.

Edgar Allen Poe, America’s original master of the macabre, once wrote, “As no thought can perish, so no act is without infinite result.” With the guessing game reaching fever pitch, that certainly seems to be true Sunday’s Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead and the revelation of who dies from villain Negan’s barbed-wired-covered bat.

Check out our video preview above to learn who we have deduced dies and lives this weekend – and who gets their butt kicked. Will it be Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes? Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon? Danai Gurira’s Michonne? Or, having come off a multi-episode near-death experience last season, is it Steven Yeun’s Glenn Rhee?

Having left the core characters on their knees in the Season 6 finale back in April, the producers and cast of AMC’s zombie apocalypse blockbuster have since repeatedly promised that fans will learn early on in Sunday’s “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” episode who gets killed by the Jeffrey Dean Morgan-portrayed character. What makes the heavily marketed and hyped debut even more anticipated is that TWD has been able to keep the victim or victims pretty much a state secret – no easy task nowadays as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump can tell you.

The show has teased out outcomes at both Comic-Cons on both coasts, and Reedus told Deadline in June that the fallout from the season opener “changes everything” for the series based on Robert Kirkman’s comics. The star of the recently renewed Ride With Norman Reedus also said that in the new season “you see a shift of power completely on our show.”

So check out above as we get all Sherlock Holmes on The Walking Dead. Then tell us who you think lives or dies in the Season 7 opener – and why you agree or disagree with us.

This view preview first ran on October 21.
