Walker: Romney Being Too 'Cautious'
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said on Wednesday that Mitt Romney is running an overly cautious campaign and needs to show he can take charge.
“I think there's a lot of caution,” the Republican said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. “People don't just vote somebody out; they want to vote somebody in.”
A good example of taking charge, he said, was when Romney took over the Salt Lake City Games, the subject of the latest bruising ad from Priorities USA Action, a pro-Obama super PAC.
Walker joked that he expected a phone call from the Romney campaign in “15 minutes” because of the critique, but said he was just trying to offer some friendly advice.
Walker said that Romney is capable of going on the offensive. “What I point out to them is I'm not attacking him, I think he has the capacity to do it, I wish he would do it more,” Walker said. “He relates to people well, relates to small business owners well. I would like to see more of that.”
This isn’t the first critique from Walker. He said he’s heard “directly or indirectly” from the campaign several times.
