You may recall that this past spring, David Bromstad, HGTV Design Star winner, designed one heck of a gorgeous line of shoes for Naturalizer. I was lucky enough to receive a pair of these shoes with a matching handbag , and I am still wearing them today! I guess I’m still in the warm weather mode since it has been blazing hot in California all week. I am not quite in the fall fashion habitat just yet, but my associates on the east coast are already busting out their trench coats and getting ready to slip on some of that hot leopard print that is going to be seen everywhere this season. But before you head out to the stores, you must check out David’s newest and wildest adventure yet with Naturalizer: wild animal print shoes that are bold, very wearable, comfortable and better yet, universal.

When my Bromstad Grifton 2 ½ inch heels arrived in a very hot leopard print, I couldn’t believe how comfortable they were! I tried them on with everything: jeans, dresses, shorts, and they didn’t look horrendous at all. The neutral browns, black and gold details are subtle enough that you can get away with wearing these with items you never thought possible. I think you may even be able to dress up a pair of sweat pants with these, but don’t tell anyone I suggested it! If you’ve ever read some of my previous shoe articles, you’d know that I have gigantic feet that make me sad. I can’t fit into anything cute, but since David teamed up with Naturalizer, I’ve been able to wear on-trend shoes without any problems. This is a big deal! These heels come in wide widths, which is a very rare find for those with feet like mine. These are perfect for the office or just hanging out, and with the non-slip outsole, I won’t be afraid to take a dash out into the rain on the slippery concrete.

For those not into the height of heels, there are some great choices of flats that David has designed. The super-adorable Bromstad Libra loafer features a zebra graphic on the outside of the foot and comes in a deep leather blue tone that will coordinate with any wash of jeans. More up my alley are the Bromstad Leap loafers that look extremely sleek with a black fabric upper and a snake graphic on the side of the foot. Again, the loafers feature that non-slip outsole which is crucial for those days when you run after the bus you just missed.

If you love a good-sized handbag, Bromstad has you covered in this department. The Bromstad Amazon bag is big enough to be a shopper bag, but also housed my laptop when I wanted to ditch my embarrassing 2007 Yahoo-issued backpack. There are plenty of compartments to stash personal items and you’re going to look pretty fierce toting this baby around.

To top everything off, these Bromstad scarves are ready to take your wild side to the next level. These soft animal print scarves are perfect for throwing on over any outfit and running out to wherever the day may take you. I like to use fun scarves like these over humdrum outfits just to add a pop of interest. White fitted t-shirt, my favorite jeans, David’s leopard heels and this scarf… done! Oh, and don’t forget your sweater, it’s getting colder out there (not here, but maybe where you are!)

The Bromstad for Naturalizer collection is now available at Naturalizer stores and at Naturalizer.com. The retail prices range between $99 and $179 for shoes and boots, and prices for accessories starting at $36.

If you want to see David Bromstad talking about his shoe line LIVE, you’re in for an animalfantabulous treat. I believe David coined that term, but we’ll have to ask him during his live Google Hangout session in NYC, today, September 30th at 2:30 pm E.T. Please tune in and ask him anything you wish!
