Wake-Up Weather: lack-luster storm chances for Monday’s twin in disguise

Tuesday, May 21st, 2024

Summary: Tuesday is Monday’s twin in disguise only with more cloud cover, and a chance for some strong to potentially severe storms further out towards the east. Weather models remain unimpressed with our chances to see those storms with most models, keeping all if not most of the big country dry with storms initiating to our east. Temperatures will feel very summer like today into the upper 80s to upper 90s but staying shy of the triple digits with a breeze from the southwest switching towards the south at 10 to 15 gusting to 25 mph. Throughout this week, we can expect a drop temperature into Wednesday prompting another chance for strong, severe storms out ahead of a dry line. I will print moves in Thursday, keeping temperature rising along the dry line up until Saturday or temperatures could be reaching the triple digits for the first time this year in the key city what temperatures falling with a cold front expected by Memorial day.

Today: Mostly sunny, hot with a chance for strong to severe storms out east by late evening with a chance for hail and gusty winds. High Temperature: 95° Winds: SW 10-15 G 25 MPH

Tonight: Partly cloudy and warm with a light breeze. Low Temperature: 71° Winds: S 10-15MPH
