Quoting head of the Gulagu.net anti-corruption project Vladimir Osechkin, the Insider reported that the two men are giving evidence that will help the international investigation into Russian war crimes.

The men’s testimony concerns corruption schemes of the FSB and the history of the creation of the Wagner Group private military company as a "branch" of Russia’s military intelligence service, the GRU.

“Now both of these people will testify about war crimes, I hope they will have the opportunity to cooperate with the international investigation and testify against (Wagner company owner) Yevgeny Prigozhin and other members of the regime (of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin),” Osechkin said.

He also noted that in recent months, several other Russian intelligence officers have been able to leave Russia, seek asylum, and also testify.
