W.I.A.A. Tournament allows girls to shop & be crowned champions

KAUKANNA Wis. WFRV – Bridal elegance and formal wear shops are noticing an increase in customers during the W.I.A.A. Girls State Basketball Tournament. Owner Lu Ann Vanderzanden says the tournament allows girls across the state to find the right dress promptly. 
 
“I think it would be Saturdays are usually really busy for us with the proms, we don’t require appointments, we open at 9 am so they can come in and browse we have a huge selection,” stated Vanderzanden. 
 
As prom approaches Vanderzanden expects dresses to fly off the shelves. 
 
“Be mindful that you probably are going to need some alterations and it’s nice to set up the alterations ahead of time, a lot of girls start shopping three to four months before prom I suggest they take that time and search everywhere,” explained Vanderzanden. 
 
The tournament concludes on Saturday.
