WATCH: Train hits sweeper truck in Washington County, Va.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — A sweeper truck was hit by a train in Washington County, Virginia Wednesday morning.
Virginia State Police (VSP) reported that a street-sweeper truck was crossing the railroad tracks near the intersection of Pairgin Road and Wallace Pike just after 8 a.m.
No injuries reported in Bristol, Tenn. apartment fire
The truck was then hit by a Norfolk-Southern train as it was crossing the railroad tracks, VSP reported.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to VSP. The truck was reportedly owned by a private contractor.
The crash occurred on private property within the county, VSP stated.
