Voters should have received a sample ballot in the mail — officials recommended that you go over it beforehand. You can also print one online.

You may need to bring a form of identification to vote — election officials said to look up your voter information to check and review your voter registration card. According to the Maryland State Board of Elections, some first-time voters may have to show one of these forms of ID:

  • A copy of a current and valid photo ID

  • A copy of a utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document that is dated within three months of the election that shows your name and address

If you would like to mail in your ballot, the deadline to request it in person also falls on Tuesday, May 14 — officials said that you or your agent need to go to your local board of elections to apply in person. The deadlines to request that your ballot be mailed or sent via the internet have already passed. You can find out more about mail-in ballots here.
