Here is the winner of the high school Student of the Week in The Patriot Ledger

The Patriot Ledger is pleased to announce the winner of our Student of the Week. Nominations come from high school staff members. But you, our readers, make the decision in our poll found at the bottom of this story. Look for our newest poll each Monday morning. We're proud to highlight the achievements of high school students. This feature is similar to our Athlete of the Week.

This week's winner is Dahlia Hedrick, 18, a senior at Hull High School, is a creative, passionate, poised, and confident student in our community who is a consummate performer. Dahlia has been performing since she was three years old and can sing, dance, act and play musical instruments. For Hull High School theatre, Dahlia has performed in "Christmas Carol," "School House Rock Jr.," "Tempest," Rizzo in "Grease" and Penelope Pennywise in "Urinetown." Dahlia received the Massachusetts Education Theatre Guild Award for her technical experience in set design. Dahlia is an active member in PRISM, and prides herself on diversity and inclusion. She will be attending Berklee College of Music in the fall.

One of our other nominees was Erin Condon, 18, a senior at Hanover High School, is the president of the Be Better Movement, a club focused on inclusivity and helping to develop a positive school environment. She is kind, compassionate and is always looking out for the underdog. In addition, she is a dedicated student and three-sport athlete playing soccer, softball and ice hockey. She will be attending UMass-Amherst in the fall and has been accepted to the Eisenberg business program.

Our third nominee was Garret Walsh, 14, a freshman from Whitman at South Shore Vocational Technical High School in Hanover, is a quiet, focused student who puts his all into the Manufacturing Engineering Tech program at SSVT. He works through his break times and is continually working to gain experience and to improve his skill level. Currently, he is learning how to make all of the components (body, wheels, electronic parts) for a line-following robot.
