LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — Handmade flyers are posted throughout Wilson and Sumner counties as the search for missing teen Sebastian Rogers continues.

It has been 18 days since the search for Sebastian, 15, began. Authorities searched nonstop on land, water, and in the air, with no leads.

The search has scaled back, shifting into an investigation.

TN AMBER Alert: Timeline of search for missing teen Sebastian Rogers

From the beginning, a Facebook group called Finding Sebastian Rogers has kept community members updated.

One group member, Shauna Bonura, told News 2 she took it upon herself to ensure the fliers hung up in Wilson and Sumner County were up to date with the number of days missing, the latest information, and his description.

“It’s that writing and that knowledge daily so that people know this child has not been found,” said Bonura, flier designer and distributor. “We are still looking for him, and just to keep that public pressure, if you see something, say something.”

Bonura explained when she first started making fliers from the information provided by the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, she used the provided black and white photo of Sebastian, but now she is switching to a colored photo recently shared by the family.

“We want to keep Sebastian’s face and name and everything up because we have an epidemic already of children going missing,” Bonura said. “You get AMBER Alerts consistently. It’s so easy to, you know, put it back in your pocket, and you forget after a couple of hours.”

Bonura sometimes works to hand-make and distribute these fliers, using the mobility of her car, a coffee shop, or wherever she happens to be when she has free time.

“I get somewhere where I can set up my mobile command area and I grab my craft bag. It’s got all of my markers and double-sided tape,” she explained. “We use different colored markers to draw attention so it’s not just that standard document print-looking.”

Bonura then locates any high-traffic locations without a flier on their door or window and begins to make the rounds from store to store.

She has made 500 fliers so far and updates 50 fliers each day.

“I am also going to be making some lanyards, some laminated little Sebastian’s with the facts on the back of them; I do have those to make keychains for, and I will just be giving those out just like I would a flier,” Bonura said.

She added that the goal behind this is just to see Sebastian come home safe.

“What we do know is that Sebastian is physically out there somewhere, and everybody needs to continue to remain diligent and vigilant in their searches.”
