In New York City, there have been a string of reports from women who said they punched in the face by unidentified violent men on the street. On Monday, video footage started making its online rounds that showed yet another attack happening.

However, this one had a much different outcome. The assault took place on 14th and Seventh Avenue, and was captured on camera by an onlooker who lived in an apartment overlooking the incident.

Inititally, a man struck an unsuspecting woman. As soon as it happened, a group of strangers worked together to take him down. The clip shows the group hitting the man within seconds of the attack. Then, the quickly flee the scene.

The date of the footage remains unknown, but the attacks have occurred mostly in Chelsea and Lower East Side. The footage shows the man throwing two punches at a random woman—and one strikes her in the back of the head.

Witnesses then take out their phones to seemingly call for help as the assailant corners the victim against a Duane Reade. He dishes out another punch right before a group of onlookers go after him.

Two men appear out of nowhere and punch him at the exact same time and though the assailant falls down it doesn’t stop there. More folks come in to stomp the man out as they get the victim to safety.

Last month, authorities arrested 40-year-old Skiboky Stora, who they believe assaulted TikTok influencer Halley Kate Mcgookin near West 16th Street and Seventh.

Mallik Miah, a 30-year-old Brooklyn man, was also arrested and charged with assaulting TikToker Mikayla Toninato in Greenwich Village in March as well. These attacks are horrifying and have somehow become a trend in the city.

Luckily, the latest victim had her fellow New Yorkers to protect her.
