Vikings agree to terms with defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard
After working to retain some depth on the offensive line last week, the Vikings have turned their attention to the defensive line.
On Tuesday, the Vikings agreed to terms with defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard, bringing back a player who appeared in 12 games last season.
Though he suffered a biceps injury that forced him to miss a month down the stretch, Bullard made himself useful last season before getting hurt. He should fill a similar role on the interior of the defensive line this season.
It will be interesting to see how new defensive coordinator Brian Flores deploys his players up front.
Though veteran defensive lineman Harrison Phillips will be a surefire starter, Bullard will likely be competing with the newly signed Dean Lowry for reps. Remember, the Vikings lost defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson in free agency last week, as he signed a contract with the Cleveland Browns.
Briefly
In a separate move, the Vikings waived receiver Thomas Hennigan, an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State.
