Vidya: Yet another bold role

does it again. After The Dirty Picture, she is all set to play a pregnant woman who is in search of her husband in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Kahaani'

Based on the story by Advaita Kala, the movie is supposed to be a thriller based on a pregnant woman's search for her husband in Kolkata during the Durga Puja festival. The search for 'someone who does not exist' as the trailer says - gets her from London to Kolkata. The movie also apparently has Emran Hashmi in one of the main roles. Advaita Kala, the author of Kahaani in an interview to a news agency said  that she developed the character keeping Vidya in mind and always knew that she was the one actor for the role. "It is a very different film. I would say Vidya is the hero of the movie. It is a very difficult role from the very beginning Sujoy and I knew that Vidya will do it even before approaching her. And true to our belief once we told her the story, she agreed immediately.
