Woman Hit By Vehicle In Central Bakersfield
A woman is recovering after being hit by a car Saturday afternoon in central Bakersfield. It happened right before 12 p.m. in the westbound lane of California avenue, just west of Union avenue. Officers say Jessica Thompson of Bakersfield was hit by a 2003 Nissan Sedan. They say Thompson stepped inot the roadway when she was hit. Thompson was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. No one else was hurt. Investigators say alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the accident.
