Peter: Trump's biggest asset was his grand illusion of having at least $10B in net worth. And now, that veneer is wearing transparently thin. In criticizing Clinton's outrageous expenditures on tv advertising to "viciously attack" him; there was almost a hint of envy. This coming from a man who just 18 months ago proudly declared "I am very very rich... and self-funded". Yet a second look at the questionable activities surrounding Donald's finances seem to indicate a sense of desperation. Why would someone who is on such firm ground assets-wise be involved in relatively petty schemes like Trump University, or abuse of charitable donations, paying Pam Bondi $25K and a $2,500. fine on top of it, $20K for a 6' portrait of himself, and $100K to settle a legal dispute over the height of a flagpole at Mar a Lago? Stiffing vendors during and outside of his bankruptcies. Not paying campaign workers their salaries. Refusing to release his tax returns. And the most credible sources that accurately track wealth like Forbes and Fortune are unable to locate or substantiate more than $3-3.5 B in Trump's name. Much of it non-liquid real estate already used as collateral to finance subsequent ventures. He is in hock up to his eyeballs. It must be eating Trump from the inside to know his nemeses like Bloomberg, Cuban, Gates, Zuckerberg, and Buffett not only all support Clinton, but are many many times far wealthier than he even claims. Perhaps the dark ugly truth of his money is what makes Donald Trump such an angry, bitter man.
