Typhoon Haiyan destroys Tacloban city

With final death tolls still to be confirmed and expected to be in the thousands Philippines is still coming to terms with the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan. The storm, locally known as Yolanda, made landfall in central Philippines on November 8, bringing powerful winds, heavy rain and storm surges.
