Ken: Who is going to fact check the media and their moderators? CNN Caught Changing Trump’s Quotes; False Reporting by Keely Sharp | Sep 25, 2016 CNN has been putting words into Trump’s mouth, literally. In a recent report, they actually added words to his statement that he never said! CNN ran a story in which they included Trump’s “statement.” The quote from Trump to Fox and Friends was, ““Israel has done an unbelievable job and they’ll profile. They profile. They see somebody that’s suspicious, they will profile. They will take that person in.” However, when CNN reported on it, they added one word: racial. When CNN ran the story, it used the title: “Trump says ‘racial profiling’ will stop terror.” The quote marks around “racial profiling” implied the words were a direct quote from Trump. Which brings me to the moment when Zach Montanaro actually called CNN out on the false report. “Now, we are apparently at a point where media outlets are openly changing direct quotes as well,” Montanaro started out his speech, CNN also played clips from Trump’s interview and framed them in such a way to make it look like Trump was answering questions specifically about racial profiling,” he went on, “It would have been one thing for CNN to take the context of the quote and speculate on the meaning of it. It is quite another thing to literally change a quote entirely and attribute it to someone who never said anything like it.” Do you still think CNN is a credible source, now? Without extensive research, you won’t ever know when they are reporting the straight facts, or facts watered down with their opinion.
