There can be no conflict of interest, no impropriety, and no preferential treatment of friends, family, or outside business associates - not even the slightest assumption or rumor there of. Every time a CF donor asked for a special meeting with a government official, the response should have been, "you must go through the proper government channels." This was not the case. It doesn't matter if the meeting "would have been approved anyway," there must be no assumption of preferential treatment.
