Bob D: This bill only enacts US law to allow US citizens to suit where that right is currently denied to US citizens by US law. US law does not allow or prevent foreign nations' citizens from suiting. They can do that regardless of our actions. Anyone who thinks this law obligates the government of Saudi Arabia (or any other nation) to provide any information knows little. On the flip side, no law in a foreign nation obligates the US government to release classified information in answering a law suit by one of their citizens in their courts.
