Storm Cloud: I love reading the comments by some of these Trump supporters who are shouting for the wall to be built along the Mexican border without a single thought of how it can be done…I am not an expert in this matter but I think some of the following would have to be considered… -The wall more of less would have to stretch from coast to coast to be effective (that’s about 1,500 miles) -All the legal issues with land procurement (Trump should know, he was a land developer) have to be dealt with -Cost/funding for the land procurement have to be allocated -All environmentally sensitive lands would present problems -Migratory animals would have to be considered (U.S Wild Life would have to be consulted) -Ways to channel surface water runoff and tributaries into Rio Grande would have to be considered to prevent flooding -All environmental impact assessments reports and consultations (Environmental Protection Agency would have to be consulted) -Planning -Ongoing maintenance measures/programs -Funding allocation -Actual construction By the time all is planned and lands acquired, funds allocated for the project we are looking at minimum 15-20 years for the construction to start. But I bet most of these Trump supporters are probably under the impression, Donnie has a plan, as soon as Donnie walks into WH, he is going to pick up the phone and call his construction buddies and tell them “Start”… But then again…you can plan the wall as high as you want but if you do not have any measure to stop the subterranean tunneling (which is what the criminals are known to do) the wall is not going to be effective… just a multi-billion dollar waste. My honest thought on this… Donnie was mouthing off during the beginning of his presidential campaign not expecting to be the primary GOP candidate. Pretty soon or during the debate he will be back track on the wall and say that was a figure of speech.
