Many react to key points in the State of the State address, including proposed pay raises and high-tech equipment.
TruthTeller: Wow. All the pomp and circumstance. I caught, on CNN, last night, the 1980 debate between Ronald Regan and Jimmy Carter. What a great debate. Issues, issues, issues. No one raising their voices or becoming over demonstrative. Why are there audiences at these debates? There is no earthly reason for it. It detracts from the questioning and the answering; it is a distraction that is not needed. I don't want to see the moderators trying to become a bigger part of the election cycle with "aha" questions or bias. Call me silly, but I would love it if the debates were in the same format as they were in 1980.
