Hundreds of hearty swimmers plunged into 2013 with a dip into the icy sea off Brooklyn's Coney Island. Polar Bear club members and other bathers stripped down to their trunks or dressed up in costumes for the annual dip. (Jan. 1)
Jay: Honestly trying to speak as someone who's neither white nor black I don't think anything about race relations movements today is very beneficial. There's hate on both sides and it seems to be reaching a boiling point. If anyone on either race speaks in defense of the others views they are torn down by their own race. Terms like "privilege" are thrown around. I try to not define myself by my race while not forgetting my heritage. Very few people seem capable of doing that today.
