We are finally hearing from one of the 16 Powerball winners at the Ocean County vehicle maintenance facility in Toms River.
Mick: Just reperations would be virtually impossible to administer. Many black people or their families emigrated to the U.S. well after slavery ended. What about bi-racial people, do they get a reduced amount? What about highly successful black people, do they share in the pot? Should Britain share in the cost because slavery began when the colonies were under British rule? What about other groups who suffered injustice and discrimination; women, Italians, Irish, Catholics...? The Japanese who were interred during WWII justly received reperations, but reperations were not extended to their descendants.
