After disembarking in New Orleans, passengers on Carnival Elation said their ship stopped for 'a good six or seven hours' to provide food and supplies to the disabled cruise ship Triumph. (Feb. 14)
Akura: Copy/pasting this from someone else, as Republicans seem to enjoy pretending this never happened while they burn Hillary at the stake. In a statement to Politico, an aide to Colin Powell, who served as Secretary of State under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2005, confirmed that he too relied on a personal email account and did not know of any rules preventing him from doing so. But did the FBI investigate Powell? No. The Bush White House email controversy surfaced in 2007 during the controversy involving the dismissal of eight U.S. attorneys. Congressional requests for administration documents while investigating the dismissals of the U.S. attorneys required the Bush administration to reveal that not all internal White House emails were available. Conducting governmental business in this manner is a possible violation of the Presidential Records Act of 1978, and the Hatch Act. Over 5 million emails may have been lost. Greg Palast claims to have come up with 500 of the Karl Rove emails, leading to damaging allegations. In 2009, it was announced that as many as 22 million emails may have been lost under Bush.
