Two groups were rallying in Houston Sunday night -- one in support of Trayvon Martin; the other in support of George Zimmerman
Libbie: Whimpy, whimpy, whimpy response! Republicans show no backbone in denouncing Trump's rhetoric and inane ideas. Just when are people like Priebus denounce the garbage this man spews. Some Republican leaders continue being silent in the face of extremism that do not reflect this Country's values. Of those 11+ million illegal immigrants are part of legal immigrant families, some are adoptees of US citizens, some were born and raised here. What's humane about breaking up families or sending them to a country where they've never lived in, never known, cannot speak the language? What about those who have fled here to start a new life - free from war, political persecution, etc? IJust because Republicans supported a "wall" in 2006 does not mean it was ever a good idea - it is just reflective of the ultra right wing ideology. Trump's highly simplistic solution is to build another "great wall of China" and deport 11+ million people is no reasonable answer. Providing a realistic, humane solutions that is in keeping with what this Country stands for requires thought not knee jerk, neocon reactions.
