In his weekly address, President Obama focuses attention on raising the minimum wage. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
Albert: i don't understand how his logic, reasoning and constant name calling can be defended. If i were to teach my child that any of these ideas were ok i would be instantly called a bad parent. Call a woman a pig or a dog and the only question my child would have to answer to is if she deserved it. Not whether or not name calling is wrong. Yet he doubled down on it, and during a presidential debate no less. I am growing more and more surprised every day that we defend the way he talks but i would ask anyone, would you allow anyone to speak to you or your children this way? if you were at the store and the cashier interrupted you every 5 words, i would bet that you would ask for a manager in about 15 words or less. Yet when he does it that was seen as taking control of the debate? I also didn't see where this candidate offered any hope, any plan for the future of a more united America, anything even resembling optimism anyone could be declared a winner. This is becoming about picking sides. Well i feel like we are all in it together. Regardless of the outcome we are all americas that are going to have to ride it out...TOGETHER. We are going to have to weather the storm....TOGETHER. We are all going to face the outcome....TOGETHER. Voting for Trump or Clinton does not grant you immunity from the consequences of their choices. In a nation that seems be happy drawing lines in the sand to form their groups of perceived comfort, i have something to say...WE ARE ALL IN IT TOGETHER. So when you cast your vote i urge you to think it through. Make a choice that you feel will unite us all. Make a choice that casts out hate and unites through understanding and compassion. We do not want a life of constant divide but one of unity and pride that we can all take part in.
