North Carolina voter ID law struck down

A federal appeals court struck down a 2013 North Carolina law that required voters casting their ballot in person to show an accepted form of identification. Supporters of the law said it was intended to prevent voter fraud, while the court said the law was passed with “discriminatory intent.”
