The jury of seven men and five women voted unanimously to convict the 80-year-old comedian. Cosby, charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault, could get 10 years in prison on each count. He has denied the charges, asserting that his sexual encounter with Andrea Constand in 2004 was consensual. Thousands of Newsroom comments have poured in, with the majority agreeing that a guilty verdict was long overdue. Cosby’s first trial took place last June. After six days of testimony, the jury was deadlocked and the judge declared a mistrial. More than 50 women have come forward to accuse Cosby of sexual assault.
