kurt: The liberal elites are working hard to keep their power. They can not allow the poor and middle class to learn the truth. The truth of how they, the elites, have stolen from the poor and middle class. How they have enslaved the poor and middle class to a life of serfdom. How the elites have shredded the Constitution, taking away the rights of average Americans by enslaving them to laws, rules, codes and statutes written to remove their God given freedoms. Codes, rules, laws, regulations which infringe on the individual freedoms of average Americans. A woman works hard and purchases an automobile, pays the sales tax and then is forced to licenses the car. Forced to pay the extras fees and taxes. This the government says is to pay for the highways and roads. The woman is then told she must pay more taxes when purchasing fuel for her automobile. Then the woman must buy and iPass in order to use the toll roads which were, she was told, built and paid for by the other taxes and fees. One winter night after a heavy blizzard, the woman digs her car out from the snow only to find the a boot has been placed on the car. Her property. The government, has determined that they can seize the woman's property while it is parked on the street which she paid for, all because she forgot to pay a red light ticket. The woman now has to pay a $750.00 fee to have the boot removed from her property. She is already behind on her rent due to her hours being reduced at the manufacturing plant she works. The owner of the plant has decided to relocate to Mexico in order to lower his overhead. The woman has a choice to make, pay her rent and have no transportation for her soon-to-be gone job, or pay for the removal of the boot and possibly face eviction. You may find this story hard to swallow thinking it false. But this is the reality faced everyday in the city of Chicago. An overbearing government enslaving the people, who were once free, into subjects, fixed only to pay fees and taxes with the constant threat of incarceration for minor infractions. There are far too many laws, rules, code and regulations for Americans to live as free people. "The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws." Ayn Rand
