News 8's Jim Keithley traveled to Portland's Gingko Blue where they've come up with a prohibition- inspired drink for this week's Morning Menu.
Dan: Historically, I've voted for both sides at various levels (local, state, federal) depending on the issues. As of now, I can't imagine supporting Trump for the simple reason that he has stated too many anti-constitutional things that he would like to do. In some cases, even things that go against international law (torture). A lot of things might even make sense in today's environment to a lot of people. However, people always fail to realize the dangers of setting a precedent and how easily they can be used to turn things against them later on. Then there's also the personality flaws he seems to exhibit. He threatens people who disagree with him quite a lot. He reminds me of the bully who HAS TO have everyone believe he's the toughest guy in the room. He should realize that the office he's running for is going to work for ALL citizens, not just those who agree with him; which is another problem. He doesn't seem to remember that he's technically working for us. He's treating the national stage like one of his reality shows, where HE runs the board room. Some of those citizens are the ones he's alienating, usually at the cheers of his supporters. While he may not say overtly racist things himself, he KNOWS some of his followers do. He is actively pandering to their mentality, based on what I've witnessed at one rally. Ugh, I don't like Hillary much either... but, at least she has a history of trying to help at the local and state levels from her past. Although, her National level activities leave me worried.
