Fat Tuesday has arrived, and many across southeast Wisconsin are headed to their local bakeries for one last baked-good binge before Lent begins.
“Hutch”: @joe.... Joe, in 1985, 1995, 2005 and today the inner cities of NY, Chicago, New Orleans , Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis and any city in America isn't safer than it was in previous years, not only for African Americans but also Whites, Hispanics, Asians and every other race that lives in the inner cities you mentioned. Why is that joe?? Could the increase in drugs, gangs, lose of industrial jobs of the late 60's and 70's has anything at all to do with that? Why has the vast number of student drops increased in the inner city schools, joe?? Do you blame that on the Democratic Party as well? The problem with our inner cities is the lack of interest and desire to make a difference by the people that live there. Having neighborhood meetings, promoting programs to assist honest, hard working, educated, caring, citizens of ALL races to pull together and stop the gangs and drug dealers and cut down on crime that is associated with gangs and drugs is the answer to the problems these good people face every day. No politician can fix that.
