LGBT Advocates See Spike In Suicide Calls After LDS Policy Change: Officials

Professionals working on the front lines of suicide prevention say they`re handling a higher volume of calls since last Thursday. That`s when the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced a controversial policy, which states children of same-sex couples cannot be baptized until they turn 18, are no longer living with parents, and have disavowed their parents` same-sex relationship.
