Italian Navy Rescues Survivors of Migrant Boat Capsize
A migrant boat capsized in the Mediterranean on October 11, approximately 120 kilometers off Lampedusa, resulting in the deaths of at least 34 people. Over 200 others were rescued from the water. The Marina Militare (Italian Navy) released footage on October 12 showing their participation in rescue efforts. Several survivors can be seen drifting in the water wearing life jackets while others are pulled from the water. Credit: Marina Militare.
