Governor Pat Quinn issued a statement Monday night saying the pension crisis is hurting the state's economy, wasting taxpayer money and shortchanging the education of our children.
auto company dude: The family that Trump chooses to attack in terms of being worthy of America, a Muslim family that lost a son serving in the US Armed Forces, when neither Trump, nor any of his sons spent a single day in any of the American Armed Forces, has a right to be outraged. Yet they were civil in response, to an amazing degree. Yet Trump has doubled down on being a gutless cretin, rather than admit his mistake in how he characterized them, and any like them. I served six years, my father served in WWII, and for 25 years after that. He then served more as a civilian. I served six years, and three other brothers served as well. I see the son of the family which Trump treats shamefully as akin to my family - and Trump and his sons as shameless dodgers, every single one working any angle they could to evade public service. Even now, Donald Trump is not motivated to be of service to America and us. He instead seeks, as he always has, fame, fortune and adulation, not at all to be as he seeks for the betterment of others, but rather for his trophy shelf, for his ego. Shame, not fame, is what he deserves. And he has it coming.
