Hindus at risk in Pakistan

Hindus make up about 2 per cent of Pakistan's population of 180 million people. They have been facing endless atrocities and injustice in the country. The independent Human Rights Commission of Pakistan has noted a worrisome increase in kidnappings of Hindu girls who are forced to embrace Islam. Recently, three young Hindu women - Rinkle Kumari, Dr. Lata and Asha - were kidnapped, forcibly converted to Islam and married off to Muslim men in Karachi. The relatives and civil rights activists say they were forcibly married.
