Giffords, Newtown victims "deserve a simple vote," Obama says

Delivering his 2013 State of the Union address, President Obama paid homage to victims of gun violence, including the late Chicago 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton, the 20 children and six adults killed during a massacre at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school, and former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was in the audience. "If you want to vote no, that's your choice," he said, but added that gun control proposals "deserve a vote."
