Fire crews are working to contain a fast moving 650-acre blaze just west of Weaverville, California. Jillian Kitchener reports.
rusty: The concept of wall building in the 21st century is baffling, and telling. Conflicts have centered around religion or resources for 2000 years, our birthrate is exceeding in areas where there is not enough food or drinkable water, or the jobs are nonexistent to climb from that hunter gatherer status. Nations, cities, and whole groups of people that are technologically backward are being forgotten. Within our own inner cities whole swaths of those populations have slipped below the visibility line of the respective city and state governments. Our federal government has grown to disproportional size in what was intended. Not enough intelligence to correct federal abuse because our population is divided into voting categories. Too much knee jerk responses on social media show our maturity level. I think I would want to hide behind a wall with all the teeming chaos predicted from two unknowns in the presidential race. We like to think we "control" our environment, see how much of that we can control as whole segments of our society slip below the horizon. If you are not a donor, you don't figure in to the grand scheme of things. Our influence is reaching extinction.
