A fire at a former fraternity house on the edge of the UNH campus brought firefighters from around the Seacoast to Main Street in Durham.
Feliv9: For a party so quick to preach freedom, the GOP sure does excel in stifling people's freedom don't they? Heaven forbid you offer a suggestion and they immediately cry that you're forcing your beliefs on them and that you're unAmerican and unconstitutional. However, it's perfectly OK for them to force their beliefs on others because that's patriotism. NC is a red state and its flirtation with being a swing state seems more like an exception rather than the rule...so what exactly are they afraid of? Wouldn't it be great to actually produce factual evidence to support the need for voter ID laws? How many politicians regardless of party affiliation have lost elections due to voter fraud? How many of those election losses occurred in NC? That is the evidence you produce to support the need for voter ID laws. You identify a problem, then offer the solution. I bet that if minorities aligned themselves with the GOP, you would never see such voter ID laws. Funny how they enact laws that conveniently creates a disparity for those groups that they don't care for.
