RC: What happens if the government can no longer sell debt? Most of the well known economists keep saying that as a percentage of GDP, the U.S. can borrow and run up a larger debt like Japan. But you rarely hear an economist talk about the dangers of running up debt. Not being able to service debt is also possible. In my opinion debt is the greatest threat to the U.S. Trump is the only candidate who speaks about it. I am not saying that he's going to be able to fix it. But this is a serious issue and there needs to be a long term strategy to solve it.
