Dialogue with Pak not flourishing on 26/11: Mathai

Foreign Secretary, Ranjan Mathai has asserted that the bilateral relations with Pakistan were moving steadily in 'people-to-people contact' but not much progress had been made by the neighbour in taking substantive action against the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Mathai, however, maintained that since 2011, the bilateral dialogue has flourished, but only in trade and inter-cultural exchanges and no concrete steps can be foreseen against the Mumbai attacks plotters. Shifting his attention on the territorial dispute between India and China over Arunachal Pradesh, Mathai said that although the issue was not resolved, the two countries were working in synch to maintain peace and tranquillity on the border.
