Hillsborough County deputies say Demetreius Morris, already in Orient Road Jail, used hand-written notes to tell a witness he wanted a "hit" placed on a victim and the victim's daughter in a pending TPD case.
COREY: When it comes down to it, politicians win by telling people what they want to hear. Whether or not the facts are correct, or things are exaggerated, makes no difference to most voters. Voters just don't want to spend time fact-checking. They would rather "feel" good about the candidate than actually know what the candidate has, or will, do. It is interesting that the biggest problems persist despite all these politicians constantly "fighting" for certain causes. If you have fought and passed legislation for something and the problem still persists, then you didn't do a very good job understanding the problem or "fighting" for people. It is all rhetoric, and voters fall for it hook, line, and sinker.
