Man Abrier: In the 1960s, there was a very famous ad that aired. It showed a little girl playing on a swing, and then an atomic explosion in the background. It was of course fear mongering from the left, in favor of LBJ. "Vote for me! I'll make sure we won't get into any more wars!" The American people believed it, apparently, and when elected, Johnson escalated the Vietnam war again. It turned out to be one of the deadliest wars in American history.
