Closing arguments have been presented and the jury is now deliberating in the case of Sandra Layne, a grandmother accused of murdering her grandson.
Winston: Trump doesn't get it and his crew don't either. Everybody knows that both candidates are problematic but the American people have to elect one of these two train wrecks. What this is going to come down to is their personal mindset and how they carry themselves. Who is willing to acknowledge their historical shortcomings, who is willing to apologize for unacceptable behavior and demonstrate character? Trump had a chance to apologize for the cruel things he said about that beautiful Miss Universe contestant, but instead, he doubled down and said he doesn't regret it. All he had to say was, I regret what I said, it was cruel, unacceptable, I feel terrible about it, and if she'll allow me to; I'll apologize to her personally and publicly. Now he's hammering away at Hillary's health issues out in the open. Hillary might be ill, she also has a reputation for having a bad temper; but at the end of the day at least she's a good actor. She is cunning, devious, just as opportunistic as Trump is; but at the end of the day she can at least act like she has character. Hillary can at least carry herself in a dignified way. You don't to worry about her accidentally saying something stupid under pressure and then being too proud and cocky to walk it back so she doesn't come off like an over the top arrogant poser. Reality is reality, we all know about the skeletons in each of their closets; what we need is someone who can at least pretend that they're a decent human being.
