The former mayor of Pennsylvania's capital city of Harrisburg spent millions of dollars on artifacts for an Old West museum that was never built. All 10,000 items, including rarities like Wyatt Earp's gun, are being put up for auction. (July 15)
NLM: The disclaimer that the New York Times has a record of endorsing Democrats and that they have not endorsed a republican since Dwight Eisenhower since 1956 is with just cause. Actually, they could have endorsed Reagan if they honestly thought he was the better candidate because Reagan was a democrat until he switched hit to run for office. I surmised he did it for political advantage rather than for conservative beliefs. One can be conservative in idealism as are many democrats. The two defining issues are Pro Life and not Pro choice and Right To Bear Arms. The one big difference is democrats favor regulations of sorts while republicans like leaving everyone to their own devices. The economy ignores both parties and does it own thing. It's venturing beyond the regulations that gets us in trouble.
