Warming up quickly today. Sunny, low 70s, low humidity. We remain mostly dry and warm through the weekend.
PKT: The real issue in Arizona and other states this election cycle is the obscene amount of money pouring in from outside interests. I mean $11 million for a sheriff's election really? In Cincinnati a couple of years over $3 million came in from outside to defeat a local tax to improve the zoo. If there is an ideological element involved local elections are no longer local. Now while a massive war chest doesn't guarantee victory is does give one side a huge advantage meaning elections could be decided thanks to the influence of outsiders who have no interest in the community as whole but just the favored candidate or issue. Good? Bad? Neutral? Unfair? It's an issue worth thinking about.
