Bundy brothers acquitted in Oregon wildlife standoff

A jury acquitted Ammon Bundy, his brother and five followers of federal conspiracy and weapons charges related to their occupation last winter of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The defendants took over the federally run Oregon property for six weeks, demanding that it be surrendered to local control. The decision in federal district court is considered a blow to the government in a long-running battle over the use of public lands.
