United Kingdom's minister of state for foreign office Hugo Swire declares India to be a 'safe' place to travel, two days after a British woman escaped rape attempt in Agra. The victim, who was touring India, jumped off from the balcony of her hotel to save herself from a rape attempt by the hotel owner in Agra on Tuesday. During his visit to Gandhinagar, Hugo said that India is a 'safe' place to travel. As per police, the incident happened at around 4.00 am when the hotel owner, Sachin Chauhan, kept pursuing the British national for oil massage scheme. She had to jump out of her hotel room's balcony out of fear when Chauhan and his security guard kept knocking the door.
