Action will be taken against the guilty in drugs case: Sports Minister
Union Sports minister, Jitendra Singh on Monday said that the government would take strong action against those found guilty in the drug scandal that has rocked Indian boxing. Senior sleuths of police and the Narcotics Cell would soon grill 2008 Olympic bronze-medallist Indian boxer Vijender Singh, in connection with the case of huge haul of drugs, linking his involvement. Ram Singh, also a former national championship medallist, confessed that he experimented with contraband substance along with Vijender, although he has denied the allegations.
