Douglas: Half the problem with Trump is, as was stated in the article, is that he's Donald Trump. The other half of the problem is that the media keeps making statements like, "Trump should be concentrating on his economic message" when, to date, he has no economic message other than "it's gonna be soooo good!" People may cheer when Trump delivers this sweet-nothing but eventually some of those same people are going to want details other than the few generalizations he's offered up so far. His "idea" of slashing taxes for the wealthy has been tried time and time again over the past 40 years and produces anemic numbers of jobs along with a bloated deficit. Even his own cheerleader-economists say Trump's tax cuts will increase the deficit, conservatively, by $11 billion, and historically, will yield few jobs.
