ZeroxDope: Trump's comments beg the question, what results have we seen for African-Americans since the passage of LBJ's War on Poverty Bill in 1965? Let's look back, then ahead. In 1963, 23% of African-American women had children born out of wedlock and were the sole support for their children. Unemployment for black males was 8%. Incomes were rising for the 77% of black families with two parents and the father as head of household. Today, 73% of black children are born out of wedlock with the mother now marrying the govt. for support instead of a male partner. Unemployment for black adult males is nearly double now than what it was in 1963. Incomes have steadily declined. We have, to be sure, spent trillions on a failed policy, implemented with good intentions, that has failed to provide a long-term solution to black economic advancement. I purport, and many good judges agree with me, the main schism affecting race relations today is the economic component. We must get more African-Americans into the workforce with good-paying jobs. That is Trump's vision. I see no extremism in that. Who would? I will answer that now. The prevaricators of the left would, and they do, by disregarding the message and twisting words around to suit their defense of a proven, flawed policy.
